The uncut Kalakata show has been pulled from NBS TV until further notice, and hosts Kayz and Zahara Toto have had their pay cut.
According to this website, Uncut Kalakata, a gossip TV show that aired on NBS TV for the past four years, is no longer airing.
For the second week in a row, local television has been devoid of gossip shows. Due to a directive from the Uganda Communication Commission (UCC) to shift them to the late hours of the night.
Due to the continued violation of minimum broadcasting standards, the UCC memo mandated that these shows air between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Uncut Kalakata will no longer be broadcast on NBS TV beginning Tuesday night.
The show is expected to struggle for viewership due to Sanyuka TV’s relatively small audience. As a result, the show’s hosts, Kayz and Zahara Toto, appear to have had their monthly salary deducted. Since they were relieved of their duties.

Earlier this month, NBS TV, in collaboration with UCC, provided additional training to its employees on the Minimum Broadcast Standards. Showing them what is legally expected of a journalist, show host, or producer.
According to an inside source, the Naguru-based media station prioritized training its employees on their code of conduct and broadcast standards in order to avoid repeating the same mistakes in the future.
Three Sanyuka TV journalists were remanded in Kitalya Prisons on charges of offensive communication, prompting the training. OS Suna, a singer, sued Isaac Kayz Kawalya, Williams Marko, and Brain Wako, alleging that they made defamatory statements about him. During a Morning Express gossip show segment on August 27th, 2021.
The three TV personalities, along with renowned music critic Isma Olaxess, were charged and remanded to Kitalya prison. Only to be released on non-cash bail on October 6, 2021.
