In order to buy a new car, Prophet Samuel Kakande of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in Mulago has requested his followers to donate money UGX 1 million each, promising that God will also provide them access to an airplane.
Kakande is seen pleading with his fans in a social media sensational video to donate him $300 or Shs 1million so he may get a new car. Prophet Samuel Kakande asserted that even though he sorely needs a new automobile, he cannot afford one and is not permitted to use church funds because they are meant for other church-related uses, such as the construction of the church.
“It is not a must that to pray for you you have to first buy me a car, no.. I will pray for everyone but i ask each one of you to bring me 1Million each so that I can buy a new car, I dont want the money used to build the church but I want you my people to buy me the car” according to Kakande.
While this was going on, in 2017 a video of Kakande offering “holy rice” for Sh50000 went viral. The outrage over this was palpable on social media. He has now devised a new scheme to get his sheep to give him money so he may get a new vehicle.
