The Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) has been openly referred to as a “empty” association by singer OS Omulangira Suna. He asserts that he cannot discern any part they are playing.
The head of White House Entertainment emphasized that there is little the UMA leadership can do to support the music sector, and as a result, he lacks faith in them.
He added that it will be extremely difficult for anyone to pull the industry out of the ditch after it went into one.
Os Suna further emphasized the necessity to replace the entire interim team with individuals who have new perspectives in order to demonstrate the association’s influence.
He claimed that many artists would be proud and happy to have him lead the UMA if he were chosen as the new president, but regrettably he doesn’t want to get involved in politically charged subjects.
What I can say about UMA is that it is only sounding like an empty tin and nothing much I can say about the association.
To be honest, I don’t believe in anything from UMA because I told them long ago that the music industry fell into a ditch and it is now hard to get it out of the deep hole.
If I am elected as the new UMA president, musicians will feel pride and joy in my leadership but, unfortunately, I don’t involve myself in them.
