MC Kats was rumored to be leaving Next Media Services’ NBS Television station a few days ago by several media outlets.
According to the rumors, the controversial emcee, talent manager, and event organizer was settling for a new job with the Uganda AIDS Commission as an HIV/AIDS Activist.
Photos of MC Kats, real name Edwin Katamba, in meetings with his boss Kin Kariisa began circulating on social media as soon as the rumors began to circulate.
The photos gave the impression that Kin had decided to sit down and talk to the talented Kats about a better deal for him to stay at NBS TV as a presenter on the NBS Katch Up and After 5 shows.
MC Kats has continued to appear on the said shows after meeting with Kin Kariisa, implying that the alleged negotiations were successful. He also appears to be more at ease and ready to take on his roles.
According to reports, Kats stayed with NBS TV after a successful pay raise discussion with his bosses at the station. And we’ll be seeing him a little more at the Naguru-based station.
Every weekday from 5-7pm, MC Kats co-hosts the After 5 show with Douglas Lwanga, DJ Roja, DVJ Mercy, and the new addition Sheilah Gashumba.
Kats will reportedly appear on the Amasangejje extra show in addition to his Katch Up presentations. This will be to discuss various issues affecting the entertainment industry.
MC Kats and Kin Kariisa
We think it’s great news that he’ll be staying. Especially after his fans began to worry that he’d vanish from their screens.
