George the Poet, a British Ugandan spoken-word artist born George Mpanga, feels Fik Fameica represents the future of Ugandan music.
Fik Fameica, who was born in 1996, had his 26th birthday on Monday, January 10th, 2022, and social media was flooded with birthday greetings from his followers.
On his birthday, the award-winning rapper who has constantly produced bangers earned an endorsement from a bigger global artist, George the Poet.
George the Poet posted a message on his Instagram stories wishing Fik a happy birthday and encouraging people to listen to his new song ‘Champino.’

‘Champino,’ a collaboration with Tanzanian singer Harmonize, is rapidly ascending the music charts.

George Mpanga, also known as George the Poet, is a Peabody Award-winning British spoken-word performer, poet, and rapper.
He also hosts a podcast and is interested in social and political topics.
Mpanga rose to notoriety as a poet, then moved on to spoken word and hip hop. This led to his signing with Island Records and the publication of his debut EP, ‘The Chicken and the Egg,’ to great acclaim.
Mpanga, however, felt restricted by the art form and abandoned rapping before the publication of his debut album. He then began to read poems and started a podcast called Have You Heard George’s Podcast?
