After his other children declined to attend, city socialite Nalongo Sheila Don Zella has finally buried her late ex-husband James Matthew Juntunen’s ashes at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
After her stepchildren refused to attend the burial, Don Zella was escorted by her real children and close friends. However, they claimed that Don Zella went against their father’s wishes. After a long fight with Parkinson’s disease, James Mathew Juntunen died on February 6 at the age of 58 in Al Rahba Hospital in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
In addition, Raymond and Judith (Maki) Juntunen’s son, James Matthew Juntunen, was born on December 21, 1965 in L’Anse, Michigan. In 1984, James Mathew graduated from L’Anse High School.
He joined the United States Air Force in 1984 and served until 2005. Jim then traveled to work for Lockheed Martin in the United Arab Emirates in April of 2005. Jim liked to ride his bike, golf, ski, travel, and be outside, and he was always up for an adventure.
Don Zella however returned to the United States after his cremation and made plans for his burial with his stepchildren.
