Two buses allegedly collided at Kachumbala in Bukedea district on Wednesday morning, killing three passengers on the spot.
According to information obtained by this reporter, the Gateway bus was on its way from Moroto to Kampala when it collided with the Soroti-bound Wonagon bus.
According to an eyewitness, the heinous incident occurred around midnight, and many passengers suffered life-threatening injuries.
Rescuers who arrived on the scene with axes extracted bleeding passengers from the wreckage of the buses.
More information about the accident is expected to be released by police later this morning.
