Prominent radio personality, content creator, and influencer Prim Asiimwe has decided to step down from her duties at Galaxy FM. Asiimwe was among the first employees recruited at the Kansanga-based station when it officially commenced operations in Uganda in 2013.
Despite lacking the qualifications for radio presenting as she was still in school, Galaxy FM provided Asiimwe with a platform to share her creativity with the world. At the station, she has been rendering services as a producer and lead presenter of the Evening Rush and Galaxy Top Countdown shows.
Asiimwe also took on public relations duties for the station along the way, a job that she executed exceptionally well. After a decade of dedicated service, Asiimwe announced her departure from the station through a video that she shared on her social media accounts.
In her video, Prim Asiimwe expressed her gratitude to the management of Galaxy FM, her family, fans, and listeners for their support throughout her tenure at the station. She spoke about how her journey at Galaxy FM has been life-changing, full of growth and learning, and how much she has cherished every moment spent at the station.
Asiimwe revealed that she will be hosting her last show on Galaxy FM on Thursday, 27th April 2023. She will bid farewell to her listeners and well-wishers as she embarks on a new chapter in her life.
Asiimwe’s resignation has come as a surprise to many of her fans and colleagues, who have expressed their admiration for her work at Galaxy FM. Her dedication and passion for radio presenting and content creation have earned her a loyal following and made her a household name in Uganda.
While Asiimwe’s departure is undoubtedly a loss for Galaxy FM, her decision to move on is a testament to her growth and ambition. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors and look forward to seeing what she will accomplish next.
