Residents of Kubbiri, Mulago, were left in a panic on Tuesday morning as Pastor Kakande Church collapsed into a big heap.
Pastor Samuel Kakande of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations has been working on new church facilities for some time. This is though in order to accommodate a larger congregation.
However, on Tuesday, the still-under-construction structure fell, hurting at least three people.
Robert Ddembe, Eddy Namasanga, and Alex Batumbi were among those injured. They were all after brought to the hospital in critical condition.
Following the collapse, there has been much discussion over what caused the disaster, with some villagers blaming it on witchcraft used by Kakande’s foes.
The fall, according to the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesman, was due to bad construction and neglect of the building, with investigations underway.
