Arsenal fans have taken to social media to praise Nicolas Pepe, the Ivory Coast international’s performance in Thursday night’s 2-1 win over Wolves at the Emirates Stadium.
The winger came on with 20 minutes remaining and played a key role in the Gunners claiming all three points.
The two sides met in the Premier League, and it was the visitors who scored after only 10 minutes, thanks to Hee-Chan Hwang. The score remained unchanged until the 82nd minute.
Nicolas Pepe received a good pass in the danger zone, turned well, and beat the goalkeeper to bring the teams back even.
Alexandre Lacazette then forced Sa Jose into an own goal in stoppage time to give Arsenal all three points.
Pepe, on the other hand, has been lauded for his contribution to the game, and some fans believe Gunners manager Mikel Arteta should consider starting him in future games.
