Jamaican dancehall sensation Konshens stirred emotions in Uganda as he paid a touching tribute to the late Mowzey Radio upon his arrival for the Blankets and Wine event. The star, accompanied by his entourage, visited the burial grounds in Wakiso, Nakawuka, and Kagga, where he respectfully met the late singer’s mother, Kasuubo Jane.
In a poignant moment, the “Bruk Off Yuh Back” hitmaker delicately placed a flower on Mowzey Radio’s grave, honoring his memory before fulfilling other commitments. The blog post, with an active voice, captures the sincerity of Konshens’ gesture and highlights the significance of the tribute.
Konshens’ return to Uganda after 8 years, however, adds depth to the narrative, creating anticipation for his performance at Lugogo Cricket Oval on Sunday, December 17, 2023.
However, Konshens didn’t offer any financial support to the family, which raised concern among Ugandans, who, in their culture, make offering money to the deceased family the norm. This prompted the Jamaican dancehall star Konshens to break his silence, defending himself against criticism over his visit to the late Mowzey Radio’s family in Uganda.
The artist faced backlash for not providing financial condolences and not inviting Radio’s partner, Weasel, to the solemn occasion. Upon arriving for the Blankets and Wine event, Konshens paid his respects at Mowzey Radio’s burial grounds in Kagga-Nakawuka, Wakiso District. Despite his heartfelt intentions, netizens were quick to express discontent with the absence of a monetary contribution.
