Mr. Gerald Mayanja, Jose Chameleone‘s father, demonstrated a generous heart by extending assistance to a family with a son born blind.
The needy child has vision problems, and the family’s efforts to have them treated were futile because the mother did not have access to the doctors she was referred to at Mulago hospital.
The mother explained that after giving birth at Bombo barracks hospital with the assistance of Chinese doctors. The Mother was referred to Mulago at the eye care center for further treatment and examinations to determine the source of the problem.
She did, however, face a financial challenge. She also had no one to look after her.
Jose Chameleone’s father was moved when he saw the family and felt compelled to assist them with food and other necessities for their home.
Mr. Mayanja personally handed over to the mother, and during his visit to the family. He asked anyone with anything that can help the family to support them, as it is difficult to care for children with such disabilities.
He also wants the boy to go to school. Because his life will be very difficult if he does not get an education.
