The inaugural Janzi Awards took place over the weekend, and several artists walked away with awards.
Over 300 creative arts personalities were nominated, and 75,000 votes were cast in the awards, which seek to honor and celebrate artistic and creative excellence among Ugandans working in the Creative and Arts Industry.
Peace Mutuuzo, Minister of Labour, Gender, and Social Development, officiated the event, which was attended by several stakeholders in the entertainment industry.
