BOOM!!!!!!!!! Hot 100 FM, one of Kampala’s popular radio stations, is set to close this year after failing to make a profit.
Hot 100 FM, which began broadcasting in 2006, is a sister station to Simba FM and has focused on youth shows with a focus on Hip Hop music and R&B.
Its early years in the industry were fruitful, but it suffered a setback. This came after the departure of presenters such as Bryan McKenzie and Lady Bezo.
After they left, the Bukoto-based station was converted into a comedy station, but it failed to generate revenue, resulting in its closure.
