Uganda Police have stated that they have tycoon Emmanuel Lwasa Kaweesi in custody for possession of fake gold.
“We have arrested a one Lwasa Kaweesi Emmanuel,” Police spokesperson Luke Oweyesigyire said.
However, Lwasa was arrested after he released a video of himself holding a bar of gold and explaining it to his followers.
In addition, according to persons close to him who preferred to remain anonymous, the egotistical tycoon has been stealing money from people by using phony gold.
Meanwhile, on his Facebook page, a message was written claiming that certain individuals will die if they do not see false gold.

“Mission possible 2022. Naguno omwaka gwangwe?? Lwasa Ndabye. Abamu mujjakufa temulabye nakyebayita fake Gold…” Lwasa posted on his facebook.
However, it should be noted that this is not the first time he has been accused of stealing from others, as he has previously faced similar charges for the same conduct.
