Bushingtone Gives His View On Music Contracts Between Artistes And Their Managers

Bushingtone, real name George Kagoda, a veteran talent and events manager, producer, and music director, believes music contracts are ineffective in Uganda because Ugandans are too generous.

Many Ugandan talent managers and record labels have previously split up with their artists due to a variety of issues.

Recently, Route Entertainment‘s Yese Oman Rafiki bitterly divorced Vivian Tendo, whom he had nurtured and exposed to the world for several years.

Bushingtone was in a similar situation when he divorced Lydia Jazmine in 2018.

Despite the fact that separations are frequently bitter and followed by altercations, contractual agreements are rarely considered.

Bushingtone revealed on NBS TV’s Amasengejje Extra that contract terms are never implemented after a breakaway because Ugandans are too generous.

“We are too kind! I know so many artistes who have left their managers even when still under contract but nothing happens. They’re always forgiven because we are not too strict. Ugandans are too kind and considerate.” Bushingtone
