However, her trip to the Vatican was not solely for family reasons. Following her meeting with the Pope, Among met with His Eminence Pietro Parolin, the Vatican’s Secretary of State, to explore how Uganda may deepen its relations with the Holy See. Diplomatic ties? Check. Blessed babies? Double check!
It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time Among has requested divine assistance. Before the twins were born, she had another private audience with Pope Francis, asking for prayers and blessings for a safe pregnancy. And, guess what? Her prayers were fulfilled with two healthy and gorgeous babies.
