The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has suspended Spark Television’s Live Wire after the station refused to extend the show’s broadcast to 10 p.m., claiming that it did not violate any laws.
According to UCC, only Spark Tv refused to comply with the order to extend the broadcast of their gossip shows (Live Wire) to 10 p.m. and beyond, resulting in the action.
The Commission has issued a letter instructing the station to cease broadcasting the show until the orders are obeyed.
They have also been told to submit video recordings of the show from September 1st to October 20th.
