Despite the fact that the Uganda Musician Association (UMA) elections were called off early on Monday, reigning president Cindy Sanyu is grateful for the time she has spent at the helm of the organization.
Before the voting was halted, the mother of two described how she had matured in terms of reasoning and learned so much from holding such a highly respected leadership position.
Cindy Sanyu claims that having been in her position for about two years has made her a lot wiser and better at leadership.
The King Herself believes she needs more time in office to consolidate the accomplishments they have made and for the organization to gain stability.
“UMA elections are going on right now, pressure is on. Lemme just say no-matter what the outcome is I am grateful for the time I served as president. I have learnt so much and grown a whole lot. I am wiser and better as a result of that seat. I still think we need continuity in order to consolidate our achievements, gain strength and stability. Vote wisely.”
Following King Saha‘s and other participants’ requests for a physical ballot voting process rather than online voting, the UMA has yet to announce new dates for the voting process to resume.
