Crysto Panda, an NTV presenter, has accused the Uganda police force of double standards following the arrest of top city deejays over the weekend.
DJ Nimrod, DJ Deno, Ludie, and Sakalaman of Galaxy FM were arrested after they were found in violation of COVID-19 guidelines that prohibit entertainment concerts and gatherings.
Crysto Panda has come out against the police for arresting deejays for minor offenses. Despite the fact that many well-known bars and clubs are open. He maintains that some of these clubs are located near police stations.
Crysto also chastised other deejays for remaining silent while their colleagues are languishing in jail.
According to reports, the deejays are being held at Kitalya prison. He urged the actors in the entertainment industry to rise up and demand the unconditional release of the entertainers because the authorities are selectively applying the law.
