Who is Douglas Lwanga ( Douglas Lwanga Biography)?
Douglas Lwanga was born on May 1, 1984, in Entebbe Wakiso District, Uganda, to Robinah Kidandala (mother) and Sam Musoke (father) (RIP). Douglas Lwanga received his O and A Level education at St Lawrence schools and colleges.
Lwanga attended St Lawrence College before enrolling at Makerere University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication.
Douglas Lwanga continued to pursue his musical interests in the early 2000s, forming The Exclusives, a dance group. The group used to imitate the dance routines of former boy band singing groups N-sync and Backstreet Boys.
Despite becoming a television star and producer, Lwanga has maintained a radio presence. Douglas Lwanga joined Campus Radio during his final year at Makerere University, which sparked his interest in radio.
When did he become a TV Producer?
Lwanga Douglas began working as a TV Producer for Record Television Uganda in 2008.
He was able to excel in television, and in 2010, he decided to challenge himself by launching KATOGO, a daily music TV show on Record Television that later became a household name.
Then, in 2013, Lwanga signed a deal with Africa Broadcasting’s Nation Media Group (NTV) to host The BEAT, a daily music show. This show has featured a diverse range of local and international artists.
Davido, Alaine, Konshens, Wiz Kid, Busy Signal, D’banj, Diamond Platnumz, Tiwa Savage, Mafiki Zolo, Sauti Sol, and Yemi Alade are among the international guests on his show.
Douglas Lwanga left NTV in 2018 to join NBS, a Kamwokya-based TV station, where he currently hosts the music show NBS After5 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the Countdown Show on Next Radio from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., both of which are part of NXT Media Services.
Lwanga creates TV content, which he distributes on the Chano8 digital magazine, an online magazine, and the Face Television channel.
