Rema Namakula, a singer, has released a sweet song titled Akafee Che, in which she expresses her gratitude to social media in-laws following the birth of Aaliyah Sebunyah.
The singer revealed that there was no better way to express her gratitude to her fans than through music.
“Taking some time off to say thank you all for the love and warm messages. On behalf of my family and I we are super grateful. Here is special thank you in form of a ballad,” Rema posted.

Rema Biography
Rema was born on April 24, 1991, in Lubaga Hospital, to the late Hamida Nabbosa and Mukiibi Ssemakula. She is the family’s last child. Her primary school education was received at Kitante Primary School. Rema completed her O-Level and A-Level studies at Saint Balikudembe Senior Secondary School. She later enrolled at Kyambogo University. which she never finished and says she intends to do so in the future.
Career
She began singing karaoke during her Senior 6 vacation. Later, she worked as a backup singer for another Ugandan female musician, Halima Namakula, who later became her mentor. She went on to work as a backup singer for Ugandan musician Bebe Cool in Gagamel, Bebe Cool’s recording group. Bebe Cool was watching television in 2013 when he overheard Rema discussing the release of a solo album, which Bebe Cool was unaware of. As a result, he fired her and she went solo. In 2013, she released “Oli Wange,” a song written by Nince Henry, which helped her gain popularity in Uganda’s music industry.
In addition, Rema Namakula was chosen to represent Uganda in the fourth season of Coke Studio Africa in 2016. Lydia Jazmine, Eddy Kenzo, Radio and Weasel were among the other Ugandan recording artists chosen. 2Baba (2Face Idibia) of Nigeria and Trey Songz of the United States were among those who attended the invitation-only event.
Rema Namakula began a romantic relationship with Ugandan recording artist Eddy Kenzo over time. Rema Namakula gave birth to a daughter on December 26, 2014, at Paragon Hospital in Kampala’s Bugoloobi neighborhood. Kenzo (real name Edrisa Musuuza), who has a daughter from a previous relationship (Maya Musuuza), acknowledged being the father and named the newborn Aamaal Musuuza.
Rema Namakula introduced her new fiancé, Dr. Hamza Ssebunya, in a ceremony at her home in Nabbingo, near Kampala, on Thursday, 14 November 2019. The ceremony was a national event, with thousands of people camped out along the procession route to her home.
