Mowzey Radio’s death had a huge impact on his fans all over the world. People are still paying tribute to him in various ways to this day.
We’ve seen musicians like Wiz Kid and Rude Boy, among others, perform his music in Uganda as a form of tribute.
Chike, a Nigerian singer, performed Radio & Weasel’s famous “Breath Away” song last night at Serena.
Weasel Manizo, on the other hand, has stated on social media that the ‘Boo of the Booless’ did not obtain his permission to perform the song. He has chastised Ugandan event organizers for bringing in disrespectful musicians.
“Ugandan events organisers why do you invite international artists to come and perform our own songs without consulting us? WTF lwaki mutujjooga nyoo man?” Weasel Manizo said
He also stated that he will allow anyone to perform the songs as long as they seek his permission.
Weasel in agitation, “There is no one we can refuse to give rights to perform or pay tribute to our very own as long as you go through the right channels .. .show some respect. Come inquire and ask for permission. If Wizkid, Rudeboy, Psquare can come and ask for permission then who are you? I think we have been too silent we gonna start going Abit hard on this thing.”
