The Roast and Rhyme festival will return on February 27th, 2022, with performances by Vinka, Mudra, Ziza Bafana, and Elijah Kitaka, among others.
Ugandans are ecstatic about the return of public events, concerts, and nightlife after a two-year hiatus.
The last concert before the lockdown in 2020 was the Roast and Rhyme Reggae Ragga Nyam Nyam.
The 14th edition of the popular event returns to reopen the outdoor festivals on Sunday at Jahazi Pier in Munyonyo.
Veronica Luggya alias Vinka of Swangz Avenue will headline the festival, along with Ziza Bafana and Mudra, who kept Ugandans entertained during the lockdown.
They will also be joined by Elijah Kitaka, whose captivating voice and versatility in genres such as Jazz, Reggae, Ragga, and RnB, among others, will be a welcome addition.
“Because we are “outside”, we decided to return bigger and better with a fun-packed day with live reggae ragga vibes, games, meat roasting and cold Bell Lager by the lakeside,” noted a representative from the organisers.
“We shall also have different meat vending stalls manned by certified chefs and grill masters with a variety of meat and Bell na Nyama combos to overall deliver those Mpola Enjoyments.” she added.
Tickets are still available for purchase online at https://mticket.252.co.ug and at various outlets for Shs100,000.
