A few days ago, singer Ibrahim Mayanja, famously known as Big Eye, made a shocking claim regarding an altercation with fellow artist Eddy Kenzo during a meeting held at Serene Suites, Mutundwe. The purpose of the gathering was to facilitate discussions between the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) and the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF).
As the meeting progressed, tensions escalated, leading to heated arguments and a potential physical confrontation among some members. It was rumored that Bruno K and Ray Signature were ready to unleash their fury upon Big Eye Starboss. Bruno K emphasized that the confrontations began when Big Eye stood up and approached Eddy Kenzo while he was delivering his speech.
In an effort to defuse the situation, Bruno K swiftly intervened to calm down Big Eye. However, instead of reciprocating the gesture, Big Eye turned against him, seemingly eager to engage in a physical altercation. Bruno K explained that he instructed the individuals restraining Big Eye to let him go, just to observe his reaction. Unexpectedly, Bruno K himself was then overwhelmed by a group of over ten individuals.
During a phone interview, Bruno K labeled Big Eye a “Drama King” who craves attention even in matters he fails to comprehend fully. He asserted that if Big Eye had directly attacked him, he would have swiftly subdued him.
Bruno K reaction
Reflecting on the incident, Bruno K candidly expressed, “Truth be told, if I were to engage in a fight with Big Eye, I would have easily defeated him. The reason I refrain from consuming alcohol is to maintain self-control. I possess a volatile temper, and when provoked, I am well aware of the extent of my actions.”
The clash at Serene Suites highlights the underlying tensions within the Ugandan music industry. As artists navigate their respective paths, clashes of ego and disagreements are bound to occur. It is crucial for stakeholders to find effective channels of communication and conflict resolution, ensuring the collective growth and success of the industry.
