Renowned DJ and media personality, Mbaziira Tonny, along with singer Aidah Mugo, were involved in a deadly car accident earlier today. The accident occurred on Masaka Road, where their car crashed and veered off the road. Photos circulating on social media show the pair severely injured, and the car, registered under Streamline Avenue company with Reg No. UBC 142H, was irreparably damaged.
Firstly, reports suggest that Mbaziira Tonny and Aidah Mugo were on their way to a booked gig when the accident happened. The news of the accident was conveyed by Mbaziira Tonny’s close friend and colleague, Suuna Ben, through a Facebook post.
Following the crash, the victims received immediate first aid before being swiftly transported to Kitovu Hospital in a bid to save their lives. Remarkably, this is the second time Mbaziira Tonny has survived a vehicle accident. In February 2022, he narrowly escaped death with injuries after an incident in Kaliisizo.
