The R&B and Afrobeat singer Yvan Buravan passed away on August 17, 2022. This devastated the Rwandan music scene.
Yvan Buravan, who is best known for his song “Malaika,” was first treated for pancreatic cancer in Rwanda and Kenya before being flown to India with the help of the ruling government.
Sadly, the singer, who was 27 years old, lost his fight with cancer on Wednesday night and was later declared dead.
His management shared the sad news of the singer’s passing through a statement on their social media pages.
“It is with unimaginable sadness that we announce to you the untimely passing of our beloved Yvan Buravan.” his management stated partly.
The statement urged those affected by the singer’s passing to stick together during this terrible time.
Social media is still flooded with condolences from the singer’s family and fans, who are posting them from all over the world.
