Azawi has a unique, rich voice, and she is a great writer | Sauti Sol's Bien Aimesol

The majority of people adore Azawi, and Bien Aimesol of Kenya’s boy band, Sauti Sol, is one of her biggest fans.
Bien stated in an interview that Azawi is currently the most popular artist in Uganda and that she is destined for greatness.

Bien, who was on XFM this week, stated that he already has a song with Azawi that will be released soon.

“Azawi has a unique, rich voice, and she is a great writer. I knew she would blow up and become the biggest music export.” Bien stated.

Bien was in Uganda to perform at a John Walker-sponsored event at Bugolobi’s Thrones bar.

Azawi Biography

Azawi is a gifted singer-songwriter. She was inspired to do music and dance after watching dance festivals at the Ndere Cultural Centre for many years. In 2005, she joined the Kika Dance Troupe. Azawi began singing in school after leaving Kika Dance Troupe, with the help of a friend and her brother, who mentored her as a singer/songwriter. That is when she began writing for a few local Ugandan artists. She has composed music for Lydia Jazmine, Nina Roz, Eddy Kenzo, and others.

Azawi was discovered by Swangz Avenue during her journey as a songwriter, putting her on the path to stardom. She debuted her project, a five-track EP titled “LO FIT.”
