After making a name for themselves at Next Media’s NBS TV, Sheilah Gashumba and Sheila ‘Salta’ Saltoft have decided to move on to new ventures in their careers. On Monday evening, Next Media announced their departure from the station, thanking them for their contributions and wishing them well.
Sheilah Gashumba joined NBS TV in November 2021 as a co-host of the After 5 show alongside Douglas Lwanga, MC Kats, DJ Roja, and DVJ Mercy. After just 15 months, she has decided to pursue her passion for radio and has moved on to NRG Radio Uganda.
Sheila Salta, who joined NBS TV in January 2020 as a co-host of the Katch Up show, has also left the station and had already joined NRG Radio Uganda in January 2023. Before joining Next Media, Salta worked at Urban Television, while Gashumba was at NTV Uganda.
The news of their departure from Next Media came as a surprise to many, but it seems like both Gashumba and Salta are excited about their new opportunities. In a recent tweets, Sheilah Gashumba revealed that she had always wanted to work in radio and was thrilled to join NRG Radio Uganda. She also expressed her gratitude to Next Media for giving her the opportunity to work at the station.
Salta has also expressed her excitement about her new job and the opportunity to work with a team of talented individuals at NRG Radio Uganda. She believes that the move will help her grow as a professional and allow her to explore new avenues in her career.
