NBS tv join hands with UCC to train its employees on media professionalism

NBS Tv will train its personnel on the Minimum Broadcast Standards and what is legally expected of a journalist, show host, or producer in collaboration with the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC).

Firstly, three Sanyuka TV journalists went to Kitalya Prisons on Friday, October 1, 2021, on allegations of abusive communication.

Singer OS Suna sued Isaac Kayz Kawalya, Williams Marko, and Brain Wako. Alleging that they made defamatory statements about him on the Morning Express gossip show segment on August 27th, 2021.

However, the three journalists, together with renowned music critic Isma Olaxess, were charged and held in Kitalya Prisons, only to be freed on non-cash bail on October 6, 2021.

According to our sources, the Naguru-based media station is currently considering providing extra training. However, to its employees on their code of conduct and broadcasting standards.

In conclusion, the Next Media legal team and authorities from UCC are to conduct the training beginning this Tuesday, October 19th, 2021. NBS Tv, UCC training will primarily target producers and entertainment show hosts.
