Musa Ssemwanga is on the verge of reaping the benefits of his passion, having been nominated for the Janzi Music Awards.
He began his career as a photojournalist for the Vision Group’s Kampala Sun newspaper and evolved into a multi-media journalist over time.
The radio and television personality was nominate-d for the Janzi Music Journalist Award 2021. Where he will compete against some of the industry’s biggest names.
When asked about his competition in the category, Musa Ssemwanga stated that the shortlist is strong. And that all of the candidates are deserving.
He relearns, however, that he has an advantage because Vision Group has provided him with the opportunity to work on radio, television, print, and the internet.
As a result, he has had a musical impact on a large number of people.
Musa Ssemwanga is one of the hundreds of people who have applied for the inaugural awards. During a star-studded event in the Sheraton Hotel gardens last week, they revealed the final list of 300 nominees for the first ever Janzi Awards.
The nominees in the Jounalist Music Award include;
- Isaac Ssejombwe (Kampala Scoop)
- Musa Ssemwanga (Online)
- Herbie Kay (Metro FM)
However, Musa believes he can win this award despite the competitors whom he believes he can beat them.
