Mukiibi Sadat, alias Kalifah Aganaga, a local dancehall singer, was narrowly killed earlier this week in Semuto. The singer was involved in a scuffle that included gunfire.
He was apprehended while signing a land agreement in the area that he had purchased. Kalifah, on the other hand, claimed that this had nothing to do with him and that he was simply a victim.
“I had gone to sign a land agreement and before I knew it gunfire broke out between the area police and some plain clothed gun men. The area police tried to stop those who had come from taking us and bullets were fired. While in the van I learnt that the misunderstanding was between the person who had sold land to me and another who owed him Ugx 12 million,” Kalifah.
He went on to say that he was enraged by these men. Who did not explain why he was arrested and instead told him to go ask Museveni.
Kalifah Aganaga said it was stupid of the security guards to arrest them in this manner. Because it could have sparked deadly protests in the area.
Kalifah went on to say that he was one of the people who campaigned for President Museveni, and that some people despise him for it.
