The Wabwiires’ family is in a gloomy mood. Following the tragic death of their new bride a Gayaza High School Supremo’s daughter, Joan Namutebi.
Joan Namutebi, died as a result of complications she experienced while attempting to enroll in family planning. Derrick Wabwiire was Joan’s husband.
Last Friday, the couple married and went to the Women’s Hospital International and Fertility Clinic in Bukoto to enroll in birth control.
The couple chose to have an Intra Uterine Device – IUD – inserted into her at the facility. It is also reported that she was asked to bring enough water before the procedure, which she did.
Joan, on the other hand, began to experience stomach pains, which caused her to pass out. She then went into a coma until Friday morning, when she died.
