Shakira Kamulegeya Kyebalaba, better known as Shakira Shakira, has joined Jeff Kiwa’s Team No Sleep (TNS) record label.
However, it is a major breakthrough for the singer from the United States, who has been camped in Uganda for several months as she plots a major music breakthrough.
The singer is currently riding high on her song, I am in Love with David Lutalo, and has been focusing solely on music. Her time with Team No Sleep (TNS) is already paying off. She has already released one single, Teriba (Mundeku)
Kesh produced the beat for the song, and Arronaire directed the video.
Teriba has introduced Shakira to a wider audience, as the song has risen to the top of the country’s chart. Whether or not it’s Jeff Kiwa‘s Midas touch at work, it’s a move that will give her the big break she’s been looking for.
Shakira joins Jeff Kiwa’s threshold months after he unveiled Rahmah Pinky, a 17-year-old singer whose fledgling career under the label has yet to flourish.
Shakira, a professional nurse based in the United States, pursued a musical career when she competed for American Idol in 2010. She hasn’t looked back since. Bwentyo Bwendi, Oga, Nfa Naawe, Nkwagala, Rainbow, and Call Me are some of her other songs.
