Singer Alien Skin has announced a surprising twist for the upcoming “Nkwacho” festival. The event, initially under the oversight of events promoter Abitex Promotions, is now set to grace the vibrant grounds of One Love Beach Busabala.
Monetary disputes prompted Alien Skin’s decision to revamp the festival’s arrangement. Despite the discord, Alien unveiled his plan to reschedule and oversee the “Nkwacho” celebration, which was previously under Abitex Promotions’ purview.
Abitex Promotions didn’t take this shift lightly. They voiced their disapproval of Alien Skin’s move, joined by a segment of online users. The singer’s remarks, which included addressing President Museveni, ignited controversy and online criticism.
Among his statements, Alien expressed his desire to guide President Museveni through the ghetto areas, even requesting a bullet-resistant vehicle. Consequently, this ignited a division among his fan base. Some accused him of betraying the NUP supporters and leader Bobi Wine, while others asserted that the singer remained apolitical.
In response, Alien Skin, hailing from Fangone Forest Entertainment, stood firm in his stance of neutrality. He emphasized that he is an independent artist, distancing himself from political affiliations.
In an unexpected turn, Alien Skin disclosed that the rejuvenated “Nkwacho” festival will grace the scenic One Love Beach in Busabala, owned by Bobi Wine. However, specific event details, like entry fees, were not divulged at this time. Alien Skin pledged to unveil these particulars in his upcoming communications.
