Big Talent Entertainment’s renowned singer, Eddy Kenzo, has made a resolute declaration amidst his ongoing clash with the music industry. In particular, he has taken issue with Bukedde, a newspaper under the ownership of Vision Group.
The genesis of Kenzo’s grievances against Bukedde stems from an article published by the news outlet, which he vehemently labeled as baseless and deceptive. Taking to his social media accounts, the singer accused Bukedde of deliberately hindering unity among musicians for their own profit, by perpetuating disarray and controversy.
Expressing his frustration, Eddy Kenzo vowed to collaborate with fellow musicians to establish their own media house, as he believes that those currently in power have failed in their duties. According to him, certain media outlets have inflicted severe emotional distress on musicians through the dissemination of malicious content.
Kenzo emphasized that the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) remains steadfast in its pursuit of addressing pertinent issues plaguing the industry. Among the challenges highlighted are the need for comprehensive copyright laws, combating the influence of Mafia-controlled media, addressing unfair Collective Rights Management, tackling cyberbullying, eliminating exploitative contracts and managers, eradicating corrupt promoters, and promoting discipline among artists.
