Dr. Vicent Katogole, Pastor Irene Manjeri’s husband, has arrived and shared his side of the story as to why his marriage with wife Irene Manjeri soured.
In an interview with a fellow pastor in the United States, Dr. Kantongole revealed that he had officially divorced Manjeri and had a falling out with her many years ago. However, when senior pastor made them sit on a round table to reconcile, he accepted and returned from the United States to Uganda to stay with her because he believed she had changed her behavior.
Furthermore, he claimed that Manjeri in church is not the same. Manjeri told me at home that she used to treat him like a slave, locking him out of the gate and ordering him to sleep out of it 12 times because he was late for work.
She used to threaten him that she had connections in the State House and the IGP, and that they would round him up and kill him; she even slept in the house with Ak-47.
“My friend, to separate with a wife is a personal issue and you do it for the good of a person. It’s true she was my wife, however, our marriage fell out many years back,” said Katongole.
Katongole, on the other hand, remained tight-lipped about the allegations that he had three different women.
Manjeri and Katongole met about 27 years ago in America, fell in love, and married. They are the parents of three children.
