Swangz Avenue songstress Winnie ‘Nwagi’ Nakanwagi finds herself contemplating the need to enhance her personal security in order to evade further confrontations with enthusiastic concertgoers.
In recent weeks, Nwagi has become the subject of conversation around town due to her clashes with overzealous fans who, during her performances, invade her personal space and touch her without her consent.
Whether it’s a swift slap or forcefully tossing away their mobile devices, Winnie Nwagi has consistently expressed her disdain for the actions of these revelers. Now, she has reached her breaking point and intends to take proactive measures by having security personnel accompany her from now on.
During an interview with a local YouTuber, the talented singer, who is also a mother, hinted at the possibility of hiring security after numerous internet users threatened to throw bottles at her as a consequence of her behavior, which they perceive as violent.
“It’s good they’ve warned me ahead that they’ll be hurling them at me. I’m now ready. I’ll start moving with security, I’ll be ready with my security when I go to such venues,” she confidently stated.
Several Ugandan artists, including Spice Diana and Eddy Kenzo, have already taken similar precautions by moving with security personnel to shield themselves from any unforeseen confrontations with their fans.
In light of the recent events and the potential threats she may face, Nwagi’s decision to beef up her security is a wise move that will provide her with peace of mind and a safer environment in which to entertain her adoring fans.
