Nasser Nduhukire, also known as Don Nasser, is a socialite from Kampala City. He appeared in Buganda Road Court on Monday to answer charges of aggravated child trafficking for sexual exploitation.
Don Nasser and Promise Gatete kidnapped a sixteen-year-old girl from the Tagore apartments at Acacia Mall and detained her for three days in the Kito-Kira section. Both were detained at Luzira prison pending their appearance before the High Court for trial, despite their denial of the charges. For this offense, the maximum punishment is death.
To keep tabs on the ongoing investigation’s progress, Chief Magistrate Ronald Kayizi ordered them to return to court on October 8, 2024.
The link between the 16-year-old girl and Don Nasser was found through phone chats, according to Tamale Mirundi Junior, who conducted a live interview with both parties.
They found out what they would do during the meeting because the girl, still in secondary school, would call the socialite to make appointments.
The source
Don Nasser denied ever having slept with the girl, according to Mirundi Junior. Junior claims that when the parents found out he was giving their daughter narcotics, they became quite angry.
Reportedly, the daughter’s father holds a senior security position, and he committed to seeing Don Nasser held accountable.
Nasser went to the Democratic Republic of the Congo and then to Kenya after learning that her parents had discovered him and were pursuing him. On Saturday morning, September 21, word spread that he had been taken into custody in Nairobi.
Don Nasser committed the offense between May 3 and May 27. The case was reported to Kira Road Police on June 15. While the victim is from Naguru in the Nakawa Division, Nasser resides in the Kira Division, and Promise resides in Bulindo, Kira.
According to reports, Gatete Promise made friends with the victim on Snap Chat before their eventual meeting on May 3 at Kololo’s Aura Bar. After that, Nasser and the victim visited the Tagore Apartments in Kamwokya.
