Zari Hassan recently found herself at the center of a relationship storm. The Ugandan socialite and businesswoman faced heated questions from her husband, Shakib Lutaaya, after Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz unexpectedly visited her South African home.
The incident occurred when Diamond showed up to celebrate their daughter Latiffah’s birthday. Shakib, who lives in Kampala, was not pleased with the surprise visit. “He was mad,” Zari revealed. “He questioned me on why I didn’t tell him Diamond was coming.”
Zari tried to ease Shakib’s concerns by explaining that she had no prior knowledge of Diamond’s visit. “My husband starts tripping… saying you invited your man to the party. You are still in love with him,” she shared. Zari emphasized that she didn’t know Diamond would be at the party, as the visit was organized by others living in her house.
According to Zari, Diamond Platnumz has stopped contacting her directly due to Shakib Lutaaya Cham’s presence. Instead, he asked for the phone numbers of people at her home so he could communicate with his children. Zari provided the number of one of her housemaids, who later gave Diamond the access code to the apartment.
Despite the ongoing tension, Zari insists that Diamond has the right to see his children. “I cannot prevent him from being in their lives,” she explained. Zari also acknowledged that Diamond continues to support his children financially and even helped with the birthday preparations.
