Approximately 150 students from Nakanyonyi Senior Secondary School in Nagalama, Mukono District, are currently undergoing medical attention at a nearby hospital after experiencing symptoms of food poisoning. As of now, investigations are underway to determine the cause of this alarming incident.
According to Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson, authorities have taken samples of the food the students consumed and sent them to the Government Analytical Laboratory in Kampala for thorough testing.
The situation unfolded when a significant number of students at Nakanyonyi Senior Secondary School started exhibiting signs of food-related illnesses. As a precautionary measure, the school administration swiftly arranged for emergency evacuation to ensure the students receive immediate medical care.
