Sheilah Salta of NBS TV and her fiance Maxim Steurbaut broke up after eight years of dating. However, the two are still close friends and business associates.
In October 2020, Maxim ‘Kizito’ Steurbaut a.k.a. Maxxi proposed to Salta and asked her to marry him at a surprise party attended by close friends, and she said “Yes!”
Sheilah Salta and her fiance broke up nine months later, in July 2021, for unspecified reasons. Through an Instagram post, the latter made their breakup public.
However, it wasn’t long before the two ex-lovers were seen close to each other again, this time attending parties together.
This gave rise to the myth that they had reconciled their differences and reconnected as lovers, but this was not entirely true.
According to Salta, they only mutually agreed to get over their breakup and rekindle their friendship rather than rekindle their romance.
Salta revealed that they are no longer lovers on the Galaxy FM Zzina Access Twitter Spaces show on Wednesday.
“Me and Max are now friends. We ended the relationship mutually after several months of not seeing each other because of constant travelling. We are still close though, as friends, we even have shops close to each other. He knows my son, I know his and we are supportive of each other.” Sheilah Salta
