“It is with great sorrow that I have learnt of the untimely passing of our senior comrade and brother, Hon. Toolit Simon Akecha this afternoon at St. Mary’s Lacor Hospital in Gulu. Hon. Toolit carried our flag in the recent by-election in Omoro Constituency. He has also been the Acting Head of Policy and Research in the National Unity Platform. This is terrible news! It is very unfortunate that he has passed without seeing the justice and good governance which he so much struggled for, all his life.
Details regarding burial arrangements are being discussed with the family, and will be communicated in due course. May his soul rest in peace,” Post by Bobi Wine
