The Red Devils are interested in bringing the France international Adrien Rabiot to Old Trafford if they are unable to sign a Barcelona talisman De Jong.
Manchester United are in talks to sign Adrien Rabiot from Juventus, and have already agreed on a fee with the Serie A club, according to GOAL. However, the Premier League club has yet to sign a contract with the midfielder.
United are looking for a new midfielder, and while long-term target Frenkie de Jong remains their top priority, they are considering alternatives in case the Netherlands international cannot be persuaded to leave Barcelona.
Manchester United’s bid for Adrien Rabiot
After reaching an agreement with Juventus for a reported £15 million ($18 million), Manchester United have begun talks with Rabiot’s agent and mother, Veronique.
Personal terms have yet to be agreed upon, but the midfielder is said to be looking for a way out of Turin this summer.
Rabiot, 27, was a regular in Massimiliano Allegri’s starting XI last season but has now entered the final year of his contract at the Allianz Stadium and missed the club’s pre-season tour of the United States for personal reasons.
