The landowner surrounding Radio Mowzey’s gravesite denies Ms. Kasuubo Jane’s allegations, Late Radio Mowzey’s Mother, about the land. She claimed he asked for UGX 350M from the deceased’s family to purchase the land. Earlier this week, Radio Mowzey’s mother, Ms. Kasuubo Jane, appealed to the public for help. She stated they needed money to acquire the land next to the gravesite in Kagga, Nakawuka.
The controversial clip caused an online stir, prompting the landowner to respond. In an interview with Kasuku Live, Jjunju Henry clarified the situation. Jjunju, a resident of Mazzi, Kajjansi Town Council, explained his side. He bought the land in 2015 from Ssenfuka William for UGX 19.5M. Around the same time, Radio Mowzey bought adjacent land and built a flat.

“In August 2015, Mowzey Radio asked to buy a 50×100 piece of land,” Jjunju said. “We agreed on UGX 13M, and he paid in installments, starting with UGX 500K.” Jjunju showed the agreement, stating the balance was due by December 2015. Over time, Radio paid a total of UGX 7.5M but failed to complete the payment. They then agreed Radio would be refunded, with a UGX 2.5M balance.
“Radio called me in 2018,” Jjunju continued. “He was bedridden after an accident and couldn’t complete the purchase.” After Radio’s death, Late Radio Mowzey’s Mother and Radio’s brother, Frank Ssekibogo, approached Jjunju. They wanted to buy the land for UGX 15M, paying UGX 1M upfront, but failed to pay the balance.
“They used my land for growing weed and khat,” Jjunju alleged. “I am not selling my land and never asked for UGX 350M. I have my land title and need government help to reclaim it.” Jjunju also revealed he was beaten when he visited the land, scaring his lawyer from pursuing the case. Radio’s family has yet to respond to these claims.
