Hatim and Dokey’s 2022 musical journey begins with ‘Kaweddemu,’ a collaboration with Nina Roz.
Dokta Brain and Hatim, both born and raised in Uganda, formed the musical group Hatim and Dokey.
The Happy African Boys are a group of talented songwriters and vocalists who got their start in the arts at a young age.
They began their journey as a duo in 2020, with their first releases including their viral single, “After Quarantine” – a song of hope during the first months of the Covid-19 outbreak.
While still signed to Subwami Empire, Hatim and Dokey released “Mic Business,” an EP featuring rapper Mun G and band singer Mary Bata.
“The label is Happy African Boys founded by ourselves after parting with our former record label that lost its capability to manage the artistes due to constant COVID-19 waves that led to lockdown of their source of income,” Hatim and Dokey noted.
They have remained united throughout the pandemic and are now ensuring that they respond to fan requests for new music.
Their first 2022 song is titled “Kaweddemu,” and it features the stunning Nina Roz, who contributes her vocal prowess to the project.
