Bad Character Records singer Mukiibi Sadat, popularly known as Kalifah AgaNaga, finds himself on the brink of imprisonment due to a staggering Ugx 100M loan. According to AgaNaga’s account, he and his colleagues had reached an agreement to establish a shoe business in Kampala, each contributing towards the capital required.
However, the capital they pooled together fell short, leading the group to seek a loan from a bank, with AgaNaga assuming the role of sole signatory. AgaNaga explains that since one of his business partners possessed greater knowledge of goods importation, they entrusted him with the funds to import shoes from China.
Unexpectedly, the partner embarked on the trip to China and never returned to Uganda. AgaNaga laments that all attempts to locate his partner have proven futile, as he remains untraceable and his known phone contacts are unreachable.
Adding to his predicament, AgaNaga reveals that despite lacking a reliable revenue stream, the bank is exerting pressure on him to settle the loan he had borrowed.
In an effort to repay his debt, AgaNaga reveals that he had granted the bank access to his YouTube channel, hoping to generate revenue from his performances. However, the income generated has proved insufficient, given the timeframe allotted for him to clear the debt.
As the walls close in on Kalifah AgaNaga, he faces the daunting possibility of imprisonment looming over his head. The burden of a loan gone sour and the disappearance of his business partner have left him grappling with a complex web of financial and personal challenges. Only time will tell how this predicament will unfold for the singer and whether he will find a way to overcome these seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
