Kira Municipality MP, Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda, recently issued a stern warning, revealing a hidden power struggle within the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC). If provoked, he threatened to disclose secret dealings between FDC President Patrick Oboi Amuriat, Secretary General Nathan Nandala Mafabi, and President Museveni.
The conflict escalated when the Amuriat faction demanded Ssemujju’s apology for an alleged illegal assembly and insisted he step down as the party spokesperson, citing indiscipline.
Representing Amuriat, Robert Centenary called for immediate disciplinary action against Ssemujju, urging him to show respect for the party.
Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda, also the FDC party spokesperson, urged the embattled leaders to stop their threats, refusing to back down. He claimed he would cleanse the party and expose their actions should they provoke him.
