Ernest Nsimbi, better known by his stage name GNL Zamba, has shown off his brand new Muyenga mansion worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
The Baboon Forest Entertainment founder and CEO shared photos of the outside shell of the yet-to-be-completed mansion on her social media pages.
According to the location on the photos Zamba posted, it shows that the Mansion is located in Muyenga.
“Gwe saba bu sabi mukama Osirike #HouseOfNsimbi,” he captioned the photos.
For the past few years, GNL Zamba has not been in Uganda because he relocated to the United States to pursue a career as an actor in the Hollywood industry. However, in 2021, he returned to Uganda with his wife Miriam Tamar to focus on their Nsimbi Music duo partnership.
GNL Zamba Biography
GNL Zamba, born Ernest Nsimbi, is a popular and influential Ugandan hip hop artist who is credited with introducing rap. And the Lugaflow style of music to mainstream radio and other Ugandan media.
Zamba is an abbreviation for “Greatness No Limits.” He is the founder and CEO of Baboon Forest Entertainment, an independent hip hop record label based in Kampala, Uganda that develops new talent. He is also an actor, filmmaker, and brand and social initiative ambassador for Ugandan brands.
GNL performs in the urban Ugandan hip hop style known as Lugaflow. Lugaflow is rap in Luganda, Uganda’s Central Region’s indigenous language. Lugaflow has inspired a new generation of Ugandan rappers to create popular music in their native language since the late 2000s.
Zamba won Pearl of Africa Awards: Best Hip Hop Single in 2005. From then, he started winning many awards up to the recent one in 2019, “256 hip-hop awards African rapper of the year.”
GNL’s lyrics are available in both Luganda and English. In 2005 and 2008, he auditioned for HIPHOP CANVAS, which Platinum Entertainment’s Shadrak Kuteesa organised.
GNL stood out in these multilingual projects by engaging audiences with locally relevant stories in Luganda. As well as lyrics that addressed Ugandan social issues.
