Following the unexpected death of his mother, Ms. Jane Kajoina, Uganda’s famous Lugaflow Rapper Gravity Omutujju, actual name Gereson Wabuyi, is in profound sadness.
The rapper Gravity and his family are inconsolable after the rapper reported on social media that his mother passed away today, Friday, October 18.
Over the years, the late Kajoina has supported her son’s musical endeavors and attended his yearly concerts.
For instance, in 2022, Jane Kajoina, Gravity Omutujju’s mother, gave a heartfelt tribute to her son during the sold-out Okwepicha event at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala.
“My son is good. He is a hustler because there are places that he goes to and I also respect him. Had I ever been here? He even goes abroad. I wonder how he has been able to establish all these connections at his age. Because he doesn’t do these shows alone. He does them with other people.” – Ms. Jane Kajoina said.
Additionally, Ms. Kajoina expressed to the public her acceptance of her son’s nickname. The life of a musician, she remarked.
When asked whether she could have imagined her son being a singer, she replied, “I didn’t know [he would become a musician].” I assumed he would be just like every other child. At Old Kampala, he shattered his leg while playing football. He was very young when he began to sing. He was seventeen years old.”
“I’m proud of him because he brings us joy, has friends, and has supporters here. He is the one who invited me here and also visited me. My residence is in Fort Portal. I arrived thanks to his transportation. “Mum, come watch the show and see the musicians, he said to me.”
By the time of publication, there were still little details known about Ms. Kajoina’s passing, and her funeral plans had not yet been disclosed by her grieving family.
